The election season has gone on forever with tons of mudslinging. Is Trump a scumbag? Is Hillary a criminal?
And Trump has used his Twitter account to make some fairly large claims.
One tweet recently caught the media’s eye, and when questioned, Trump’s campaign actually sided with the media.
Conceding the truth is always hard. But in this instance, is it true? The Hill has more:
Republican nominee Donald Trump on Monday claimed media outlets refuse to report the truth about the presidential election.
“We are winning and the press is refusing to report it,” Trump tweeted Monday
Trump is trailing his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, both nationally and in most battleground states.
According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls nationally, Clinton has a 5.8-point lead over her Republican rival, 45 percent to 39.2 percent.
The polls-plus forecast on FiveThirtyEight shows Clinton with an 84 percent chance of winning the presidential race and predicts the Democratic nominee will get 327.7 electoral votes.
On Sunday, Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, acknowledged their team is falling behind.
Conway said Clinton has several advantages, including large ad buys and a series of high-profile surrogates who have been campaigning for her.
“Our advantage is that Donald Trump is just going to continue to take the case directly to the people,” Conway said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
In recent weeks, Trump has ramped up his claims that the election is being rigged against him. He has accused the media of working with Clinton’s campaign to secure a victory for the Democratic nominee and has warned of widespread voter fraud.
Earlier Monday, Trump tweeted that the Democrats are making up fake polls to “suppress” Trump voters.
“We are going to WIN,” he tweeted.
National polls are showing Hillary is doing better than Trump. But Trump is accusing the media of softening the stats.
So if Trump is thinking he’s on the way to victory, but his campaign thinks he is falling behind, what do you do?
Is Trump’s campaign conceding victory because they’re looking at the polls that the rest of America is seeing… pollsmanipulatedd by the mainstream media?
Or is Trump actually behind as he has shouldered attack after attack from the media is running out of steam?
We certainly won’t know until Election day, but the bias to stop him is glaringly obvious, compared to the glossing over of Hillary Clinton’s sins.
Are you going to vote for Trump, even if he is down in the polls? Or will you pull the lever for someone else? Let us know in the comments.
