Ronna McDaniel Seeks Dem Cooperation on ‘Border Crisis’

During an episode of “Varney & Co.” on Fox Business Network, Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel appeared and urged Democrats to work together with Republicans in order to quell the “border crisis.”

She harkened back to when Democrats endorsed “reasonable measures” to border security but seemed to shy away from it presently.

“The president is not bluffing,” she said. “It will be Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi who shut the government down. We have a border crisis. We know that border crossings are up 90 percent over the same time a year ago. We know that unaccompanied minors are up 44 percent. We know the walls work in San Diego, in Tucson, in Yuma, in El Paso. Border crossings were down 90 percent from illegals. This is something that we need for our country. Democrats voted for it in 2013 — 54 Democrats voted for all these reasonable measures. Why aren’t they coming to the table now? The president is saying, ‘We’re going to get this job done. Come to the table and fix this with me.’”
