Parkland Survivor Wants Sheriff Gone

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting survivor Kyle Kashuv on a segment of Fox suggested the Broward County, FL, Sheriff Scott Israel resign from his position after the shooting.

Kashuv stated, “That is definitely where the conversation should be. And it’s absolutely outrageous to me that at the CNN town hall, we had the sheriff, who was virtue signaling against the NRA and against guns when he didn’t act properly. The armed officer at our school waited outside with the sheriff and his men for four minutes while my classmates died while he sat outside and waited. Then he turns around and says guns are the issue when he failed to act properly.”

“He absolutely needs to resign. He failed to act on so many different levels. And he himself is responsible for this massive failure. This could have been stopped by the FBI, and the sheriff’s department had they acted.”

  • Michael Galey

I’ve had it up to my ears with this disgraceful Sheriff. He should have done the honorable thing to resign yet he arrogantly has delusions of grandeur thinking he’s the all knowing LEO. His comments are disgusting and his performance on the job are so pitiful it’s a wonder how he got elected. The citizens of Broward County MUST recall him and have him face the charges of gross negligence and depraved indifference. I’m 22 years working with law enforcement as an armed security officer and this man is the most repugnant chief officer ever.

    • Nighthawk

Michael I agree with you 100% Guns don’t kill people do. The deep state is very evil and I wouldn’t be surprised because. Remember there were people killed when the Clintons were in office but was disregarded by the fake media and the socialist democrats. Anybody that wants one world power and this includes a lot of the rhinos in office. The left and the rhinos have said at any cost to get the power again. My dad was a decorated military member during WW2 he passed away this last May. He put his life on the line many times and was proud to serve in the military. It was because he loved this country. Socialism doesn’t work and this has been proved all over the world. President Trump run up against a wall and what you are seeing i9s very shameful. I also served in the military during the 70tys. The democrats hold up approval of his picks and then blame his administration for not having his picks in place this is the direct result of the democrats. The only ones that had collusion was the Clinton team and democrats. Donna Brazill said on the view that the Clintons were bank rolling the democrats. This was Hillarie /Hi Hitler doing and how do you come out of the white house broke and then be able to bank the democrats. This is the reason they dumped Bernie Sanders and I also do not like this because. Nothing is ever said about this by the fake media. When you do what the President has done doing against the swamp and deep state that is imbedded in our government and the fake media for a very long time. When you take the guns out of the hands of the American citizens is just wrong in so many ways. The second amendment was put in place for one reason to protect your family and friends from an over stepping government and the American people to defend themselves. Before the smoke cleared Democrats were up in arms against the NRA proff is the CNN meeting. I am commended like you to make America great again. During Obamas years in just two years he had doubled the debt and help Iran, Russia and opened up a vacuum and also supplied the enemy with weapons and don’t forget the fast and furious debacle also. They jump on Mr. Trump for what he wants to do for US. I don’t want a snowflake to watch my back in a battle because if it gets to bad they will request a safe space and run the other way.

    • ernldo

Yup, and repugnant is a nicer term than I use for the traitor pervert.

    • pudge1

Hey, this sheriff is just like the one in Vegas. We ever going to find out about that shooting.

      • Tony

NRA membership will continue to grow as a result of all of this crap. Suck it, Bloomberg!

    • drew

      Michael…………..excellent comment.

  • Kevin Padfield

Agree with you Michael and I would like to add that he should be investigated to see if he and the FBI deliberately didn’t arrest the shooter knowing that he would precipitate a massacre at some point so they and the news media could promote a ban on firearms.

    • ernldo

      There’s a bingo!

    • Tony

Could Sandy Hook fall into the same category? The world wonders.

      • Jan

I’m actually more suspicious about the Boston bombers and the Orlando shooters. The FBI was warned about both of them in advance and did nothing to stop either one! Just as in this case.

  • Ray Sirianne

Why was the Bernie Sanders minion who shot Representative Scalise forgotten about by the Drive-by Media? And why didn’t the Lefties want to ban guns when he did the dirty deed? Oh, yeah, I forgot; he’s a Liberal Socialist whacko and he shot Republicans. Automatic forgiveness and a pass from the media.

    • ernldo

EVERY shooting has been done by leftist demotards, NEVER an NRA member.

      • Jan

You are correct. And yet in every case the Alt Left media and politicians immediately waste no time blaming the NRA and other conservatives.

    • drew

      excellent comment Ray

  • Richard Gieser

So the sheriff was on site at the time of the shooting???? I don’t suppose he told them all to stand down, did he? This is getting more interesting and disgusting by the day as if it wasn’t bad enough to begin with.

  • gideonrockwell

This Sheriff is the poster boy for what happens when you have politicians rather than career law officers in critical law enforcement positions. First off as most Libertards he suffers from delusions of adequacy or in his case delusions of being an outstanding supervisor. Secondly he is hit with the true reality of his personal failure yet ignores it or chooses to continue living in his reality. But most likely it’s the old libertard tactic of no matter how bad you screw up , lay the blame on someone or something else. Bottom line is this is why we have the 2nd Amendment, you can not count on government or anyone else to defend you, it is your responsibility. The Sheriff is the Chief Law Officer in his county, his department failed to measure up at one of it’s most critical moments and it failed catastrophically in a way that will effect residents from now on, it is his failure and his duty to resign and accept responsibility.

  • PIERRE77L

That should be the case the right people to tell exactly who’s to blame . And Sheriff Israel , Scott Peterson and his deputies stand by outside without engaging the sicko shooter. Only the Coral Springs officer did a good job they were the second responder. Damn CNN for their lies.

    • Jan

And lets never forget the UNARMED coach and ROTC students who risked their lives to save others when the ARMED police would not!

  • ernldo

The sheriff needs to be INDICTED for complicity, along with many FBI dolts and the high school administration. They were ALL tipped on Cruz and they stood down, most likely to allow the slaughter of those school kids, simply to gain a couple yards in the gun control game. I say the media is also neck deep in this leftist conspiracy to grab law abiding Americans’ guns. TRAITORS, every stinking one of them!

  • Flotmorton P. Gildersleeve

Let Kyle fire his own AR-15, (automatic not semi) while “Sheriff” Israel is running. Make Sense??

  • Steven Earle

Israel is a typical liberal, when they screw up they blame others. This guy screwed up big time. His officers were called to the killers house 39 times. They were warned over and over this kid was sick but never acted on it. Why, because he is Hispanic and the ultra PC liberal county would have been critical? How are they feeling now and how has being PC worked for them?

    • Jan

He’s Hispanic! B.b.b.but how can that be? The media has said he is a white supremacist!

      • Steven Earle

Because the media wan’t all these killers to be white supremacists. It’s the first their first thoughts and hopes. Remember the Trevon Martin case, first thing they claimed was the shooter was white? Turned out he was Hispanic.

  • Sasebo

    Liberalism is a mental disorder!

  • pat

I am happy to see a victim of the Cruz shooting putting the blame where it belongs with law enforcement (which includes the failed back round check)not doing their job before and during the shooting and not blaming the so called evil gun instead of the actions of an evil person.

    • attli

The blame falls strictly on the shooter. Whatever law enforcement did or did not do may make the enablers.

      • George Matyas

The shooter had all sorts of problems, and all the help he got was to be expelled and banned from school grounds, All the people that handled this bad situation are at fault, they all new he needed help but choose not to get involved, which led to that day. He is responsible for what he did, but they could have stopped it, if they acted.

      • Jan

No. Actually much of the blame falls on government authorities. In another case I might agree with you, but in this case even his relatives requested that the authorities at least take away his guns because they knew he would use them to kill. But nothing was done, because the sheriff and the school and the local Dem politicians had an agreement not to arrest any students so that it would make the school’s record look better than it was.

      • pat

The shooter is guilty of the crime but it could have and should have been prevented by law enforcement, not to mention the failed back round check which is a law enforcement issue as well. They are culpable for not acting on the information they had. For an average citizen to feel so strongly about Cruz as a high risk danger to report him to the police should have been taken seriously. Cruz was not even allowed to carry a back pack when he was going to school there which speaks volumes as to how dangerous he was suspected of being.

  • whisper

LEFTIST MEDIA actually supported the shooting at the Republican baseball event and the attempted MURDER OF REPUBLICANS. LEFTIST SICKOS ACTUALLY CALLED FOR MORE SHOOTINGS.

    • Jan

That was really no surprise. They do support violence against any one they see as “the enemy”.

  • Alan404

One doubts that Sheriff Israel will take the offered advise, expect possibly to run for some other elective office. He should be gone though, and the more quickly, the better.

  • attli

At least he did not try to lay the blame on the NRA, President Trump, or the Easter Bunny. But the real blame is all on the shooter. He alone did not have to commit the crime. The BCSO and the FBI may have enabled him to some extent, but they may have been unable to legally do anything to prevent this. They are not the thought police.

    • Jan

  • Jan

Let’s see. Law enforcement dropped the ball on the Boston bombers. Law enforcement dropped the ball on the Orlando shooter. Law enforcement dropped the ball in the Parkland shooting. But the NRA is the one at fault? Liberal logic never ceases to amaze me.

  • stretchman

Well, at least, now everybody knows. They always blame the people at the top for dropping the ball, and, instead of pointing out what the real failures were, and doing something to fix what didn’t work in all of this, demand resignations from people and make them start all over from scratch. That way, when the system breaks down again, they’ve got a new guy to blame. Sheriff Isreal is the head of a dept with over 5000 people, and there is a lot going on. Simply put the same thing happened in the Pulse shooting. There were warnings about that guy too.
In fact, the only difference I can see between the two incidents is that in Orlando, Police did engage the shooter, and drove him into a bathroom, where he held them off for four hours while his hostages died. I’d like to say that I second guess those officers out there, but in a situation like that, which most people have never been in, decisions have to be made. Going to engage an active shooter with a handgun and inadequate body armor is about as effective as going up against him with nothing. Which some of those people even did. Kids still died. Everybody has been yeling about how many people didn’t do this or that. Contrqary to popular belief, I am kind of glad that I don’t live in a place where cops are told it’s their job to do that. I never want to hear anyone say that cops are obligated to do anything except make arrests and keep themselves alive. They deal with things like this all the time, and cops are dying out there all the time.
I’ll say this right now. Most of these people, who are telling other people what they expect them to do, have a totally different idea of their own duty as citizens of the USA. Maybe people are spoiled by all of this. When I was was a kid, we didn’t have 911. If we needed to call the cops, we had to dial the operator. Ambulances were private compaines, and there was no EMS outside of them. And cops? Well, they had little six guns and no armor, and there weren’t that many of them.
Now, lets just say the system broke down at multiple levels, by not properly handling the warnings, and then, by having the Incident commander freeze up, or do something contrary to doctrine. The rest of the people on scene still have to listen, and do what they’re told. The subject got arrested, no cops were killed, and they got a confession. Better day for them than for the people at the school. No doubt. But, no one ever stops to think what might have happened if they had gone in instead of holding outside. Could have been a massive difference in casulaties if the shooter was engaged with them cornered in a room full of kids with a loaded weapon. What if he had something else, like a bomb vest? Again, you assume that they knew what the situation was, or who exactly was doing it. The only difference between little nik and one of those guys is that he didn’t say aloha snackbar and blow you up as well. Cool your jets.
