Nearly 15 years ago our nation was fundamentally changed when Islamic terrorists, backed by devout Islamic groups, flew two planes into the World Trade Centers.
Who could forget the horror of that day. The billowing clouds of smoke, the tongues of flame, the mass confusion and the deep wounds that opened that day have shaped us as a nation.
Now we know we have an enemy, an enemy that isn’t confined to any one country but who is devoted fully to our destruction.
This enemy is radical Islam.
That’s why we get so upset when Obama refuses to acknowledge the threat of radical Islam…and it’s why we want our nation to be free from the control of Islamists.
We’re right to speak out against radical Islam. Should we remain silent we’d be inviting more terror and more death.
But a Muslim group here in the U.S. feels like the fact we call out their religion as a source of great violence is unfair to them. And they believe this so much they want the worlds “Islamic Terrorists” removed from a 9/11 memorial.
Check it out.
A 9/11 memorial monument is causing controversy in the small town of Owego, New York.
The Islamic Organization Of The Southern Tier has taken issue with the writing on the monument, which calls the perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks “Islamic terrorists.”
The group is concerned that the wording unfairly paints all Muslims with the same brush and could encourage hatred toward Muslims living in the area.
They are requesting that the monument instead read “terrorists” or “Al Qaeda terrorists.”
Town supervisor Donald Castellucci, however, is pushing back.
“I don’t live in a politically correct world,” Castellucci said. “I live in a historical fact world and cross terrorism, whether it’s American, homegrown, Christianity, Islamic – you call it what it is. And we don’t whitewash things, especially here. And we just think that we’ve done the accurate citing of what happened.”
How crazy is that?
You know that if we were to give in to their requests it’s going to pave a very slippery path for our future.
The moment we give them an inch they’re going to take a mile.
Imagine if in our nation we weren’t allowed to speak out against the threat of Islam…would we be free?
No, we’d be hostages to their religion and to their law…and that is not a future we should want to be part of.
