Katy Tur became a bit existential when the MSNBC anchor declared that she found her life pointless while the world ignores the issue of climate change.
Tur was going over a New Yorker article when she confessed she had the the macabre epiphany.
“I read that New Yorker article today and I thought gosh, how pointless is my life,” she said.
“And how pointless are the decisions that I make on a day to day basis,” she added, “when we are not focused on climate change every day, when it’s not leading every one of our newscasts?”
Tur’s revelation seems rather sudden. She has not had much history calling for attention to climate change other than a November tweet she made in defense to someone claiming she denied climate change.
She posted, “ I said and have said that Climate Change is real. The vast majority of scientists say it is real. The overwhelming evidence points to it. If we don’t address it, quickly and seriously, we will all lose.”
